Symone and the Letter: A Celebration of Youth Authors & Activists

Saturday December 21, 7:00PM

@ Red Emma's

Join A Revolutionary Summer as we commemorate the publication of our first children's book!

For eleven-year-old Symone, lover of all things biology, dancing, and baking could remember, her family has always been complete. But that soon changes when Symone’s family of four becomes a family of three when her dad is unjustly incarcerated. How will Symone cope with the loss of her father just before her school’s annual Father-Daughter Dance? How will Symone react when her dad reaches out to her for the first time via a letter?

Meet the authors of Symone and the Letter, get your book signed, and be inspired by a panel of Baltimore youth organizers working toward educational equity, housing justice and sustainable communities.

A Revolutionary Summer is honored to welcome Erica Canes of Liberation Through Reading as our panel moderator.
