5:00 pm
The Radical Bookfair Pavilion at the Baltimore Book Festival
Combining sci-fi, fantasy, Afrocentrism, and history, Afrofuturism has emerged as a key narrative strategy for delving deeper into the dilemmas that confront communities of color in our twenty-first century reality. We invite award-winning authors and cultural creators Nalo Hopkinson and Paul Miller (DJ Spooky) to lead Book Festival audiences on a dizzying journey through recent technohistory to arrive at a critical framework suitable for analysing these strange and terrifying times in which we live.
