In this hands-on workshop, we'll build Black Flag Civilian's People's Companion node, a pocket-sized, open-source LoRa radio, including a hands-on soldering tutorial. Then we'll cover Meshtastic basics and walk through sending decentralized, encrypted messages with no carrier, phone number, or monthly fees. Beginners welcome; bring a smartphone and meet like-minded folk.

Limited kits will be available for a donation, with solidarity pricing options. Attendees are encouraged to pre-buy a kit here: https://blackflagcivilian.bigcartel.com/product/the-peoples-companion-mesh-radio-builder-kit
