When Cassandra, a Haitian-American influencer raised far from her roots, moves to Cap-Haïtien to take over her late grandmother's deteriorating hotel, she expects to renovate a building, not her entire sense of self.

As Cassandra navigates cultural and language divides, uneasy relationships, and a haunting legacy, she begins to uncover the untold story of the grandmother she never met-and the deep, tangled lineage she carries within her. What starts as a reluctant journey becomes a reckoning with identity, belonging, and the ghost of a homeland she's only beginning to know

Esterline Vielot is a Haitian-born writer and film producer. She has written multiple forms of stories and produced numerous projects. She has experience in film production as a former student in film at G-Star School of Arts. She worked on film sets both domestically and internationally. Currently, she is working on her new novella book series, Coconut Paradise. She is shopping around her TV Series, Windhoek City. She hosts open mics and writing workshops.
