The Monument Quilt aims to create a new culture where survivors are publicly supported, rather than publicly shamed. Please join us in uplifting the creative voices of survivors in our community and witnessing their stories. In honor of Sexual Violence Awareness Month and National Poetry Month, survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence will come together to share their experiences through spoken word on topics of rape and relationships. Featuring Baltimore Youth Poet Laureate Hannah Sawyer and FORCE intern Kiara James, along with Ladi Glori, Jennifer Eden, The Don Lee Boy, Dynamik Entity and members of MSU Poetry. Donations will be being accepted with all proceeds going to The Monument Quilt, a crowd-sourced collection of stories from survivors of rape and abuse. More about The Monument Quilt can be found here: https://themonumentquilt.org/ Parts of the quilt will be on display!
