Bauman Professor of Political Economy at the University of Maryland, and Founding Principal of The Democracy Collaborative.  Professor Alperovitz will talk on why we cannot afford to settle for corporate-backed healthcare reform and how the fight for universal healthcare is a crucial part of the broader national struggle for economic and democratic dignity. After the talk, members of the Healthcare is a Human Right - Maryland campaign will provide an overview of their growing statewide movement and how to get involved!
