Red Emma's Mother Earth Poetry Vibe—featuring Dustin Nispel!
WHAT: A poetry/spoken word open mic hosted by Analysis and featuring Dustin Nispel!
WHEN: Saturday, November 7, 2015, 7:30pm—10:30pm (mic list opens at 7:00pm)
WHERE: Red Emma’s Bookstore Coffeehouse, 30 W. North Ave., Baltimore, MD 21201
WHY: Because you love justice, and you love the arts!
https://www.facebook.com/events/1502456546741165/ It’s FREE! (Please support the coffeehouse and the feature!)
As we move through autumn, it's important that we not fall—for any hate that would divide us! Let's come together in a poetry/spoken word open mic of justice, conscious thought, spirituality, fam, real life—whatever advances the village!
In the tradition of Emma Goldman’s Mother Earth magazine, come drop some progressive “fiyah” on us, or contribute just with your presence and energy!
By the way: it’s a non-erotic poetry, non-“love jones” type of venue, so we ask that you not go there. (And, almost needless to say, leave the misogyny, homophobia and other unnecessary ish outside!)
Poetic excellence is coming right down I-83, in the form of Dustin Nispel! Dustin is an award-winning spoken word artist hailing from York, Pennsylvania. He is the author of “The Tower,” a full-length collection of original poems. Dustin is a visual artist, musician, and co-owner of The Rooted Artist Collective in downtown York. He has been writing for 15 years and performing his poetry for 13 years. Dustin is a community activist for equality and change in the world! Art creates Art, and Art creates change!
