Come celebrate the launch of My Baltimore Book, an award-winning action learning project created in collaboration with Baltimore City teachers, students, historians, and community leaders to help our youngest Baltimoreans take pride in their city and ownership in their neighborhoods. This school year, every City Schools 3rd grader is using My Baltimore Book to explore important issues in their community and to develop plans for becoming active, change-making citizens. Hear 3rd grade students and teachers share their experiences participating in this made-in-Baltimore classroom initiative!  Becky Slogeris is a designer and educator living in Baltimore. She creates project-based curriculum and tools for teachers that empower students to create change in their own communities.
