Now more than ever the interface of science and politics has become a topic elevated to the forefront of political discourse. Partisan issues and uninformed decisions bring to light the role that opinions can have on the nation’s security and economy. Whether it be climate change or stem-cell research it is important to make sure that legislators and government officials put forward bills and policies that are driven by factual information.

During this café we will discuss:· Who the players/stakeholders are· How research drives policies and informs laws· What we all can do to have an impact on local and national levels
