Every Sunday, community members come together from around the city to package up rescued groceries at Bmore Community Food which would otherwise have been thrown away. We then distribute those groceries to families who need them in the West Baltimore neighborhood of Sandtown-Winchester.
Come grab a tea or a beer, meet the organizers of the food distribution program, and learn more about how you can get involved. You can sign up for a grocery bagging or delivery shift at the link below:

Tubman House is a community organization formed to support residents of Sandtown-Winchester and surrounding neighborhoods in their collective efforts to create healthy, whole, and stable communities. It was founded in 2016 by Dominque Conway and the late Eddie Conway, a radical organizer and former Black Panther who was incarcerated for 44 years. The group began in 2016 when organizers seized a once-vacant row house across the street from Gilmor Homes — the public housing complex where the upheaval caused by the death of Freddie Gray began — and transformed it into a community center which led neighborhood cleanups, community gardening programs, and youth education initiatives.
