Red Emma's
Red Emma's is thrilled to welcome black vegan feminist blogger & artist APH KO to Red Emma's this June! Aph is the founder of Aphro-ism, a digital space devoted to black vegan feminist critical analysis, as well as Black Vegans Rock which is a new digital project devoted to spotlighting individual Black vegans every day. In her Red Emma's talk, co-organized with new vegan coop PEP Foods, Aph will re-frame black oppression through a speciesist lens using examples of white (human) racial terrorism in the United States. She will also be relying upon Afrofuturistic frameworks to demonstrate how the black vegan imagination is a necessary tool for the liberation of non-human animals. Don't miss this!
