Please join us for a showcase featuring Writers in Baltimore Schools' graduating seniors and writers from their elementary and middle school groups at Margaret Brent, Barclay, Calverton, and Afya.Cin'Shea Williams joined WBS as an 8th grader at Calverton and attends Western High School. Christian Pearson joined WBS as a 4th grader at Barclay and attends Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. Amanda Berry joined WBS as a 5th grader at Margaret Brent and attends Baltimore Polytechnic Institute.Additionally, an interactive pop-up exhibit about Chicory, a Baltimore based poetry magazine published by Black youth from 1966-1983, will be presented by the "Chicory Revitalization Project." Stop by to explore how poetry can help us understand the past and connect to the future.We've been thrilled and honored to host this showcase in years past—an incredibly inspiring event with great young up and coming voices from Baltimore.
